Social Marketing

Published by at 9:35 am under content and traffic, social networking

Social networking is perhaps one of the most under-utilised and important aspects of marketing that has evolved in the last couple of years. Technological change has quickened and there is a growth within the internet marketing niche of peer to peer marketing. There are hundreds of different ways you can drive traffic to your site from social sites and others that rank highly. Did you know you can get traffic from cnn? No neither did I but I am excited about it.

We’re not alone multi-national corporations are employing bloggers, using facebook and myspace and even incorporating twitter into their marketing mix. Blogging and business in general should be more social, I’m certainly looking at makeing this site more interactive, yahoo’s bloglogs looks a cool little widget. If you haven’t read the social networking black book yet 40,000 others have done so free are you competing on a level playingfield? a great tip I’m going to explore further from this source is utilising the power of mobile phones to drive traffic to your blog. You can find out more from the original post is your blog mobile friendly yet?

Why get involved well your looking for people that are already active in your niche who promote similar but not directly competing products. You’ll have a fair idea what a joint venture is and why the above statement is important. The people you network with are in business already and are obviously like yourselves trying to turn a profit.

A hot topic is how you can extend your exposure with the same content. My own musings on this may be of little consequence to you but what I would highly recommend is having a look at the social marketing black book. This has not been downloaded over 40,000 times for no reason.

There are over 50 social marketing strategies in here so please don’t be overwhelmed have a look at a few a day and implement more regularly what works best in your own environment. Don’t get cluttered and keep adding things that work for you remember every page of your website should have a purpose and you should be clear about that before you start throwing new things at it.

Did I say get the black book yet.

Thought so
Thanks for reading
Have an excellent day.
Kenny Ritchie.
