Motivation and Mindset

Published by under Uncategorized

Are you ready to take action .

Good, then lets begin. This is not a sprint and I don’t advocate that it is possible for everyone to complete all of the tasks detailed within 30 days. But if you really want it then it is probable.

People seem to think that they have to make massive changes overnight to succeed now that is not necessarily the case. If you’ve listened to the eBook then you’ll see that it advocates incremental change in actions but massive change in mental attitude. If you believe that you are going to succeed then you will be willing to take the small but painful steps required to become successful online or anywhere else you choose to be successful. Does Russell Brunson advocate this approach? Very much so if you read his recent article cool online conversion boosters you will see that one simple tweak to a website can produce monumental results.

There are thousands of books and opinions out there

There are thousands and thousands of books out there on mindset and motivation. In a nut shell it comes down to belief. Even the most academic of writers are talking about the concept of “self efficacy” which in the terms of psychologists and social scientists alike means “a person’s belief in his or her ability to act in a certain way”- a person high in self efficacy are likely to perform better without becoming stressed than those with low self efficacy.

For a very in depth article your should check out the elusive essential which is an exploration of the above but with sove inter-related topics on the self.

Similar and closely related terms from the world of social science are locus of control. Someone who has an internal locus of control is more likely to believe that their current circumstances and future expectations are dependent on their own actions and beliefs about those actions. Opposed to that someone who has an external locus of control is much more likely to feel that things will happen regardless of the actions that one takes their selves.

How can we regain control?

1.set goals - If we know what we want to achieve then we are more likely to achieve it
2.break these goals down - Set milestones what are the independent tasks required to accomplish these goals?
3.be realistic - what resources are required time, energy and money.
4.understand our current situation - Knowing where we are now will help us break down the tasks required to achieve or goals.
5.monitor - set a realistic review period to test if what you are doing is working.
6.make contingency plans - If this doesn’t work what will I do next?

There is a mountain of information out there on goal setting if you are looking for some further information then you can check out these blogs.

30 days to internet riches

30 days to internet riches
Are we being overambitious. Perhaps but this is not a get rich quick scheme this is tried and tested by a team of vey high quality marketers. Like everything in life you’ll get out of this exactly what you put into it.

I’m going to say that Russell Brunson is perhaps the only marketer that I would buy his product without reading the salesletter. Everything that I’ve bought and applied has made me money. Now the content produced here is and excellent starting guide for anyone looking to build an online presence. One of the key things I’ve learned from him is to use your content in multiple ways for different purposes. You can publish similar content in a different format for different users at different price points.

Now you are going to have master resale rights to this product. You can use it for personal use, give it away to build a list or sell it for whatever you want. Here’s the links to your product and reseller website for 30 days to internet riches.

Social Marketing

Social networking is perhaps one of the most under-utilised and important aspects of marketing that has evolved in the last couple of years. Technological change has quickened and there is a growth within the internet marketing niche of peer to peer marketing. There are hundreds of different ways you can drive traffic to your site from social sites and others that rank highly. Did you know you can get traffic from cnn? No neither did I but I am excited about it.

We’re not alone multi-national corporations are employing bloggers, using facebook and myspace and even incorporating twitter into their marketing mix. Blogging and business in general should be more social, I’m certainly looking at makeing this site more interactive, yahoo’s bloglogs looks a cool little widget. If you haven’t read the social networking black book yet 40,000 others have done so free are you competing on a level playingfield? a great tip I’m going to explore further from this source is utilising the power of mobile phones to drive traffic to your blog. You can find out more from the original post is your blog mobile friendly yet?

Why get involved well your looking for people that are already active in your niche who promote similar but not directly competing products. You’ll have a fair idea what a joint venture is and why the above statement is important. The people you network with are in business already and are obviously like yourselves trying to turn a profit.

A hot topic is how you can extend your exposure with the same content. My own musings on this may be of little consequence to you but what I would highly recommend is having a look at the social marketing black book. This has not been downloaded over 40,000 times for no reason.

There are over 50 social marketing strategies in here so please don’t be overwhelmed have a look at a few a day and implement more regularly what works best in your own environment. Don’t get cluttered and keep adding things that work for you remember every page of your website should have a purpose and you should be clear about that before you start throwing new things at it.

Did I say get the black book yet.

Thought so
Thanks for reading
Have an excellent day.

Article Directories

Published by under Uncategorized

Why submit your articles to directories

  1. To get them read (For your own enjoyment of simply becoming an author)
  2. To gain a wider audience (Your content box allows you the right to give other people the right to publish your article of their site. The reader may ask you to write an article for their blog or website.)
  3. To generate visitors back to your site (Your content box or about me box will allow you a link in must cases now this link back to your site will increase your visitor.)
  4. To increase your Search Engine rankings (You may be allowed to link bag to your site using the tags you are looking to rank for.)

What should you be putting in your articles? How long should they be?

You should aim for interesting and unique content search engines love unique and different content. The length of an ideal article is widely disputed but you can find hundreds of opinions on this in the forums we talked about a few days back here is a link to a forum post I contributed too .

If you read that discussion then the general opinion on the best length of an article seems to be between 400 and 700 words. Although there is scope for any length as long as you are delivering quality content.

Here are some places to start submitting your articles to they are a great source of knowledge that can be harvested for your use, either for use on your own sites with the authors permission or just for learning pursopes.

sbinformation.about.com
www.ezinearticles.com
www.scriptmenu.com
http://www.goarticles.com

I just joined this site today and it seems to put an awesome twist on article submission I’ll give you a full review in the coming days. If you already use articles as part of your promotions then go here.

Driving Blog Traffic

Published by under content and traffic

Everyone is looking for more traffic. So how can you get some more for your Blog?

Here are some and I’ll look at them in more depth over the coming days

  1. Joint Related Forums - Now don’t post rubbish. When you do that you’ve instantly lost the respect of your new public. Look for threads that you know something about and can add value to the ongoing discussion. Leave your future prospective readers wanting more and you’ll get visitors to your blog. Generally each forum will allow you a signature file us this to drive traffic back to your blog. A favorite forum of mine is Russell Brunson’s Conquer Your Niche Marketing Forum click this text and get involved.
  2. Comment on other blogs - very similar to forums add value to the ongoing discussion and people will seek you out to find out more about you and what your all about. DO NOT post lame comments like I agree what a great article, your wasting your time and that of everyone that reads it. If you have posted similar leave a link to the thread. Leave links of love from your blogs if you love a post at another blog link to it with no thought of receiving a backlink other blog owners will notice you.Because they will suggest and add ways you can generate traffic, here’s a post about an overlooked website traffic method frm Lynn Terry.
  3. Submit articles to directories - If you post articles on line you are allowed generally an about me box, leave a link back to your blog, If you enjoyed the article you can read more at yourblog.com. The article length in my opinion is irrelevant as short or as long as you want but the point is it should leave your reader wanting more and should have a way of finding you.
  4. Social Networking - Facebook, Twitter you name it Web 2.0 is big and will get bigger. Find people of a similar nature and comment upon what is going on in their lives get involved marketing is now a social event. I was slow on the uptake here as admitted previously.
  5. Start an email list- And if you haven’t subscribe to mine. Top right corner of the page guys - always always make it clear to people what they are required to do next. Ps I’ll only send you blog updates or stuff that I genuinely believe will help your online presence or learning.
  6. Use Lists - Search engines as well as people love lists. People tend to get all the way to the bottom which is where we are for today thanks for reading.
